Chie is a Design Director and Principal in Gensler’s Tokyo office with more than 25 years of experience spanning workplace design, organizational strategy, and business performance. She shapes the design culture that guides the firm’s work in Japan, drawing on decades of experience across Japan and international markets to create workplaces that are globally informed, locally responsive, and built for what comes next.
A recognized leader in legal workplace design, she has advised leading professional services and financial services firms in Japan and globally, helping organizations navigate transformation through innovative, high-performance environments. Known for her collaborative approach, Chie works closely with clients and global teams to align workplace strategies with business objectives, culture, and emerging trends. A licensed architect in Japan, she creates environments that enhance how people work, connect, and perform.
