Biography
As a Principal and Design Director in Gensler’s Newport Beach office, David Loyola brings more than three decades of expertise in architecture, planning, and interior design. Known for creating impactful, award-winning environments across the aviation, hospitality, and workplace sectors, he is a trusted leader who delivers design solutions that enhance experience, drive performance, and create lasting value.
Over more than 30 years with Gensler, spanning the Los Angeles and Newport Beach offices, David has led a diverse portfolio of complex and high-profile projects. His work encompasses airport terminals, airline lounges, concessions environments, workplaces, and hospitality destinations, each shaped by a commitment to design excellence and the human experience. Drawing on decades of aviation experience, David creates environments that balance the complex operational demands of transportation hubs with the expectations of today’s travelers. His projects have earned numerous industry awards and have been featured in a broad range of publications.
Whether designing an airport lounge, workplace, or hospitality environment, my goal is always the same: create spaces that elevate the human experience.
