Steven joined Gensler in 2004 with experience in construction documentation, detailing, and construction administration. He became drawn to the design process early in his career, from concept through the details that shape how a project is built. He focuses on clear project narratives and brings that thinking through delivery.

He has worked across healthcare, industrial, hospitality, and aviation projects. Aviation became his primary focus, though Shanghai Disney Resort remains a career highlight. The project reinforced his interest in places that create joy and a sense of discovery, a perspective he continues to bring to airport design.

Today, Steven is a Principal and Technical Director in Gensler’s Los Angeles Cities 1 Aviation Studio. His aviation work includes the Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport North Concourse, Terminal 2 at San Francisco International Airport, the Midfield Satellite Concourse, Terminal 4.5, and Delta’s Terminals 2 and 3 at Los Angeles International Airport. Most recently, he completed Phase 1A of San Diego International Airport’s New Terminal 1 Replacement Program.
