Biography
Carlos Pérez-Gavilán is a Gensler design leader whose regional perspective has been shaped by more than two decades of experience across architecture, business, and diverse international markets. His approach connects design excellence with a deep understanding of clients, culture, and the evolving forces shaping the built environment.
Carlos is Co-Office Director of Gensler’s Mexico City office, with more than two decades of experience in architecture, design, and business leadership. Throughout his career, he has led projects across workplace, retail, hospitality, residential, mixed use, and civic sectors, combining design excellence with a strong client-focused approach. His international experience across Latin America and Europe has shaped a broad perspective on design, culture, and the built environment. Since joining Gensler in 2018, Carlos has played a key role in advancing the firm’s presence in the region, fostering high-performing teams, strengthening client relationships, and delivering impactful design solutions.
Design creates value when it expands people’s potential, improves quality of life, and brings diverse communities together, making cities more inclusive, connected, and dignified places to live.
