Biography
John is a Residential Leader for Gensler’s Europe region, with more than 20 years of experience shaping residential and mixed-use projects across the UK and Europe.
John believes that great homes are fundamental to creating great places. He has designed and led projects encompassing thousands of homes across a broad range of residential typologies, with particular expertise in Build-to-Rent and rental living. His approach combines design, commercial understanding and a strong focus on the resident experience, helping clients create places that deliver lasting social and economic value. A recognised industry leader in Build-to-Rent, John is actively involved in shaping the sector through industry committees, best-practice initiatives and thought leadership. He is a regular speaker at conferences and industry forums, sharing insights on the future of residential design, placemaking, and the evolving experience of urban living.
The best residential design is about much more than the buildings we create. It’s about the experience of living there, the connections between people and the neighbourhood that grows around them.
