CBRE set out to create a headquarters to establish a new benchmark for operational efficiency, community, and connection. The project became a proving ground for new ways of working that blends in-person and remote workstyles.

The office employs the company’s workplace standards, but elevates them to meet needs of the users. The space was designed to be responsive to a myriad and evolving workstyles, ensuring success.

Gensler collaborated closely with CBRE’s leadership to ensure the office design aligns with the company’s culture and operational goals, providing employees with the tools and environments they need to thrive.

A focus on efficiency, purpose, and transparency drives the design of the workplace within this professional services firm’s global headquarters.

The purpose-driven office is realized through highly efficient “neighborhoods” that thoughtfully consider the user journey. The space was designed to respond to staff’s varied and evolving workstyles, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed at their fingertips. With executive staff also working within the space, the design carefully balances privacy and transparency. Strategic sight lines and a layered floor plan create a sense of connection while providing executives with appropriate privacy.

The workplace provides relaxed settings for working away from traditional desk setups.
