Biography
Elaine is a strategy practice area leader for Gensler’s Southeast region. A connector, catalyst, and communicator, she believes solutions to the most pressing challenges can be found in many forms, and often, from unexpected places.
Elaine balances visionary ideals with practical strategy, specializing in organization development and innovation. With 20+ years at Gensler, she consults clients across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors on equitable development, strategic planning, and community engagement. Her recent work with museums, local government agencies, and public libraries centers on strategic and facilities master planning, capacity building, and aligning real estate with community impact. She has led numerous initiatives focused on public participation and social innovation, designing and hosting workshops that empower community members to shape projects and issues in their neighborhoods.
The most meaningful outcomes happen when design becomes a platform for bringing people together around a shared vision and creating lasting impact in their communities.
