Biography
Olivier is a principal and design director in Gensler’s Los Angeles office, bringing a strong design perspective shaped by research, building science, and technology to projects across the globe.
Olivier approaches architecture as a rigorous, context-driven process, drawing on local culture, building technology, and performance research to create holistic, responsive design solutions.
As a knowledge leader at Gensler, he advances the firm’s work in resilience and building science, contributing significantly to research on high-performance envelopes and focusing on embodied energy of buildings, comparing project types through a life-cycle lens.
He holds a master’s degree in architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture, where he earned distinction for best thesis project.
Every site holds a question only it can ask. It arrives with weather, memory, and logic of its own. The magic is that if you listen long enough, the building starts to tell you what it wants to be.
