Biography
As Managing Director of Gensler's Hong Kong office, Ray Yuen helps organizations translate global ambitions into strategies that resonate across local markets. Having worked across Mainland China, Hong Kong, and international markets throughout his career, he combines cross-cultural perspective, design expertise, and business insight to help clients navigate complexity, build meaningful connections, and unlock new opportunities for growth across Asia.
With more than two decades of experience spanning design leadership and business leadership, Ray brings a uniquely integrated perspective to client relationships. His background as both a Design Director and Office Managing Director allows him to bridge creative vision, operational realities, and strategic objectives while helping organizations navigate different business cultures and market environments. Working with global accounts as well as emerging opportunities in the financial services and technology sectors across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Greater Bay Area, Ray helps clients align diverse stakeholders, identify opportunity, and translate ambitious goals into lasting results.
I believe in culturally relevant, contextually grounded design shaped by the people who use it. Meaningful design lasts, and lasting design is sustainable.
