Biography
Russell Gilchrist is a Principal, Design Director, and Studio Director with nearly 45 years of experience. Russell’s diverse portfolio of work focuses on high-performance, low-energy projects across multiple building types in the US, Europe, and Asia.
Russell’s award-winning portfolio includes 1MP in Shanghai, the Old Post Office repositioning in Chicago, Book depository in Detroit, Pearl River Tower in Guangzhou, Protos Winery in Northern Spain, Glyndebourne Opera House, Sussex, Reichstag Parliament Building, Berlin, and 88 Wood Street for Daiwa Europe Properties in London. A recognised expert, he has published and lectured internationally on high-performance design for low-energy, high-rise buildings. Russell formerly served on the Advisory Board for the Council for Tall Buildings & Urban Habitat Council for Vertical Urbanism (now CVU) & working groups for the RIBA.
