Opportunity

X-Press Feeders needed a headquarters that could bring teams together and better reflect the company’s heritage, culture, and long-term ambitions.

As younger and more diverse talent enter the workforce, traditional industries face growing pressure to offer workplaces that feel more collaborative, contemporary, and people-centered. For X-Press Feeders, that opportunity was amplified by the need to consolidate teams from three separate sites into one headquarters. The new space needed to do more than improve efficiency. It had to strengthen visibility across teams, support long-term growth, and express the company’s maritime legacy in a way that felt authentic, elevated, and relevant to a modern workplace.

Solution

Gensler transformed a high-ceiling floor into a heritage-inspired headquarters that connects teams and gives X-Press Feeders a more distinctive workplace identity.

The core design move was to translate X-Press Feeders’ maritime heritage into a contemporary workplace that feels both premium and highly usable. Inspired by the company’s Duxton shophouse roots, Gensler used timber veneer, curated artwork, and open sightlines to create a warmer, more authentic expression of brand identity. Strategic spatial planning improves visibility and cross-functional interaction, while integrated greenery, collaboration zones, and wellness-focused amenities support comfort, privacy, and employee wellbeing. Together, these moves create a workplace that is both future-ready and rooted in legacy.
