Biography
Bill is a Design Principal in Gensler’s Minneapolis office whose work sits at the intersection of architecture, civic leadership, and urban transformation. He partners with public agencies, institutions, and communities to create places that strengthen cities and generate lasting social and economic impact.
For more than 30 years, Bill has led award-winning projects across the civic, cultural, educational, and workplace sectors, guided by the belief that architecture should foster relationships between people, place, and community. He serves as Vice Chair of the Minneapolis Planning Commission and is an active member of Lambda Alpha International (LAI) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA), bringing a unique perspective that bridges design, policy, and civic leadership. Recognized by Twin Cities Business as one of the TCB100 Newsmakers to Watch in 2026, Bill is a sought-after voice on the future of cities, resilience, and community-centered design.
