Biography
Steve Chung is a Design Director and Sports Leader for Gensler’s Southwest region, where he leads sports, training, and recreation projects with a focus on access, performance, and community impact.
For more than 25 years, Steve has designed stadiums, training facilities, recreation centers, and e-sports environments that support athletes, fans, and surrounding communities. His work brings together venue planning, user experience, and technical coordination to create places that are flexible, inclusive, and connected to their context.
His portfolio includes Snapdragon Stadium at San Diego State University, BMO Stadium for Los Angeles Football Club, Lincoln Financial Field for the Philadelphia Eagles, San José State University’s Spartan Recreation and Aquatic Center, and training facilities for the Los Angeles Sparks and Phoenix Mercury. He is also leading the refresh and redesign of Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

I love creating sports projects that evoke emotion and connection through great intentionality!
